2026 Intealth® Well-being Grant Opportunity

International medical graduate (IMG) physicians bring talent, resilience, and global perspective to U.S. training programs every day—and we know the journey can be intense. Intealth is excited to launch the 2026 Intealth Well-being Grant Opportunity to help turn bold, practical ideas for IMG well-being into real impact. Now in its fourth year, the grant program has been expanded to include all IMGs, both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens, and faculty of U.S. graduate medical education (GME) programs.

Three grants of up to US$5,000 each will support innovative projects that boost the well-being of IMG physicians training in U.S. GME. Grant recipients will be featured on the Intealth website and invited to share their work in a virtual session with Intealth staff and members of its Board of Trustees.

Have an idea that could make IMG physicians feel more connected, supported, and sustained during training? We want to hear it. Proposals are welcome from project teams led by an IMG physician or a current faculty member of a U.S. GME program that includes IMG residents. Faculty-designed projects must include an IMG resident mentee or collaborator. If you are ready to support IMG wellness at your institution—and help shape a stronger national movement for IMG well-being—we encourage you to apply. Prior grant applicants are welcome to reapply.

Ready to get started? Download the Request for Proposal (RFP) available on the Well-being Grant Opportunity page for full details on grant benefits, key dates, eligibility, and submission instructions. You can also explore previous grant teams and their stories on the Journeys in Medicine blog for inspiration.

Proposals will be accepted through September 7, 2026. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.
